UW Planetarium Arts presents Art Among the Stars, an Astronomy x Art exhibition showcasing art that interrogates the knowledge, history, theories, methods, technologies, mythologies, and/or pedagogies of astronomy. These works — spanning 2D, 3D, performance, digital, video, audio, and text-based media —come from 24 artists in the UW community, including faculty, undergraduates, graduates, and recent alumni. From the Earth to the Moon, from microscopic dust to the formation of galaxies, from ancient poetry to modern-day telescopes, these artists explore astronomy and the universe as inspiration for creative expression.
We acknowledge the Coast Salish peoples of this land, the land with touches the shared waters of all tribes and bands within the Duwamish, Puyallup, Suquamish, Tulalip and Muckleshoot nations.
