UW Planetarium Arts was established by Ranger Liu in Spring 2025 within the Astronomy Department at the University of Washington, Seattle. This graduate-led outreach initiative aims to build interdisciplinary collaborations between the arts and sciences by organizing and facilitating exhibitions, talks, artist residencies, and workshops in and around the UW Planetarium.

Art Among the Stars is our inaugural event: an astronomy x art exhibition featuring 2D, 3D, digital, performance, and audiovisual works from 23 artists in the UW community, including faculty, undergrads, grads, post-baccs, and recent alumni.
